TARC is in need of volunteers, like you!
Do you love giving back to your community and impacting the lives of people right here in Shawnee County?
Come volunteer at our PACT or SPARKK programs! You’ll be able to provide a safe, fun environment for children and families with developmental, intellecutal and related disabilities.
When you volunteer at TARC you’re able to pick the dates and times that work best for your schedule.
Parents & Children Together (PACT)
PACT is looking for volunteers who can assist with childcare/activities for children ages birth to five years old. PACT is held once a month on the third Thursday of the month at TARC. The PACT program runs from 10 to 11:30 am here at TARC.
We ask volunteers to arrive as early as 9:30 am. There is an area for the infants and a variety of fun, engaging and educational activities for the toddlers and older children.
SPARKK
SPARKK was developed in collaboration with TARC’s Children’s Services and the Shawnee County CDDO, to provide an opportunity to meet the needs of parents with children with disabilities between the ages of six months and 16 years of age. This program allows the caregiver some down time, while knowing their children are being cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.
Volunteers are needed to help with the childcare and activities on SPARKK evenings. SPARKK is held two Friday evenings per month from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm at TARC, 2701 SW Randolph.
